Miller Emergency Drinking Water

Miller Brewing has provided 32oz and 40oz water bottles for emergency situations on multiple occasions. The older white label 40s were produced for a flood that occurred in the spring one year in the early 1990s. Some residents' private water supply was compromised and the brewery came to their aid with these bottles. This bottle appears to have come from the Owens-Illinois glass plant near Fulton, which is now defunct. The blue label 40s were provided on February 15, 2000 after a tornado damaged areas of Southwest Georgia. Miller Brewing responded to a request from the Georgia Emergency Management Agency by providing over 4,500 of these 40s, which were distributed by the Salvation Army. Pabst Brewing Co. has also provided emergency drinking water for similar situations via their Pabst Pure Drinking Water 40s, as well as Anheuser-Busch (but not in 40s).
