Schaefer Schaefer was produced in 40oz bottles under the F. & M. Schaefer Brewing Co. name through both Stroh Brewery and later Pabst Brewing Company, but currently are no longer produced in that size. It was named after the brothers who founded the original brewery in the mid 1800s, Frederick & Maximilian Schaefer. Initially it tasted like drinking Budweiser swill from a sweaty armpit, but in the end it just tasted like a boring below average beer. "America's Oldest Lager Beer" tastes like the oldest beer in America. Not the worst, but not something I want to drink regularly. The weak taste combined with the weak 4.6% ABV alcohol content earn this 40 a rating of 4/10 swills. I need the 4 variants pictured at the end. If you can help, please email me. Reviews | Return |
